What are the side effects of Meloxicam Tablet?
The most prevalent negative effect connected with NSAID usage is stomach distress. Stomach ulcers, on the other hand, can cause a variety of side effects. Constipation, bloody stools, tarry stools, black feces, diarrhea, vomiting, and inappetence are some of the symptoms. Changes in urine smell, color, and volume, as well as increased urination and thirst, are all possible kidney-related side effects. Jaundice, which is indicated by yellowing of the eyes, skin, and gums, is one of the liver's side effects. This product does not cure arthritis. It can, however, greatly reduce arthritis symptoms when used in conjunction with joint support aids, a healthy lifestyle, and proper weight management.
Overview
The dosage should be estimated in half-tablet increments. The tablets are scored, which makes dosing easy.  Within 3-4 days, most cases are noticeably improved. If there has been no progress after 10 days, the treatment should be stopped. Each tablet contains 7.5 mg or 15 mg meloxicam, which is the daily maintenance dosage for a 10 kg or 25 kg dog, respectively. The maintenance dose of 0.1 mg meloxicam/kg body weight is to be taken orally once daily (at 24-hour intervals). On the first day, patients are given a single dosage of 0.2 mg meloxicam/kg body weight, which can be taken orally or injected with Metacam 5 mg/mL solution.
