Overview
To prevent heartworm disease, administer monthly on the same date every month. If you miss a dose and more than 30 days have passed since the last dose, administer immediately and resume the normal treatment schedule. Administer year-round or during mosquito season, depending on your geographical location. If administering seasonally, give the first dose within 30 days of the first exposure to mosquitoes and the last dose within 30 days of the final exposure. Pets should be tested for heartworms prior to starting treatment with a preventative product. This medication comes with reminder stickers for your calendar. If you are replacing another heartworm preventative with Revolution, administer the first dose within 30 days of the final dose of the old product. To control and prevent fleas, administer monthly throughout flea season. Begin a month before fleas become active. To treat ear mites, administer as a single topical dose. Another monthly dose might be needed in certain cases. Monthly administration will control ear mites. Clean infested ears to remove debris.
