It's a synthetic triazole antimycotic that attaches to fungi's cytochrome p-450 isoenzymes. When this happens, the fungus loses its capacity to generate membrane-bound enzymes and membrane permeability, both of which are necessary for life. Fungi eventually deteriorate and become extinct.
