What are the side effects of Carprieve (Carprofen) Caplets?
Adverse reactions could include: Decreased appetite Vomiting Diarrhea Dark or tarry stools Increased water consumption Increased urination Anemia (and related gum paleness) Jaundice (and related yellow gums, skin, or eye whites) Lethargy Incoordination Seizures Behavioral changes Reactions can occur suddenly and, in rare cases, death can occur. If you notice signs of drug intolerance, discontinue treatment and notify a veterinarian right away. Overview
These caplets are scored for ease of use. Dosage should be determined in half-dose increments. Approximately 2 hours before to surgery, provide to control discomfort after an operation. The complete amount can be administered as a single 2mg per pound dose or split into two doses of 1 mg per pound of body weight, delivered twice daily. For dogs, a daily oral dose of 2 mg per pound of body weight is advised. Follow your veterinarian's instructions for usage, and talk to him or her about the right dosage.
