What are the side effects of Excede for Swine 100 mg/ml, 100 ml?
Excede for Swine is usually well-tolerated. An injection site intolerance study showed that 50% of injection sites at day 3 and day 7 following injection had no signs of irritation. The other half showed signs of slight irritation. After 10 days, there were no reactions noted. No adverse reactions are associated with this product, aside from potential irritation at the site of injection.
What special precautions are there?
You should never slaughter your pigs within 14 days after the last dose of this medication. You should also never give this medication to pigs who are known to be hypersensitive to it. If you are hypersensitive to penicillin or cephalosporin, you should avoid exposure to Excede.

Overview
Intramuscularly inject one dose of 2.27mg in the neck's post-auricular region. This equals 1mL of sterile suspension for every 44 pounds of body weight. Never administer a dose exceeding 2mL in one injection site. Injection volumes over 2mL can lead to violative residues. Pigs over 88 pounds will need to be injected more than once.
