Product Description
Cloprostenol sodium is used in EstroPlan. This drug is a prostaglandin F2-alpha analogue that is given intramuscularly. In dairy and beef cattle, it is used to stimulate luteolysis. The luteolytic activity of this medicine allows the user to modify estrous cycles in order to address diseases such as extended luteal function, miscarriages, and other management techniques.
Who is EstroPLAN for?
beef and dairy cattle and other livestock.
Why use EstroPLAN?
In dairy and beef cattle, EstroPlan causes luteolysis. It manipulates the estrous cycle, allowing estrous to follow certain management guidelines. It can be used to end a pregnancy in the event of a miscarriage. Finally, it can be used to treat problems involving extended luteal function.
How does EstroPLAN work?
In cattle, morphological and functional regression of the corpus luteum (known as luteolysis) occurs. This impact on the longevity of the corpus luteum occurs in non-pregnant, normal-cycling animals, causing estrus 2 to 5 days after treatment. Return of cyclicity, condition alleviation, and luteolysis will occur in animals with luteal cysts, mummified fetus, and pyometra (prolonged luteal function).
