It kills Ctenocephalides felis (common domestic fleas), Amblyomma americanum (lone star ticks), Dermacentor variabilis (American dog ticks), Ixodes scapularis (black-legged ticks), and Rhipicephalus sanguineus (brown dog ticks).

Lotilaner is an active component found in Credelio. The skin of the ectoparasitic host is rendered inhospitable by this ectoparasiticide. Ectoparasites are parasitic insects and acari (mites and ticks) that reside on the host's skin. Credelio fights infestation by interfering with the parasites' ability to transport GABA chloride across cell membranes. Because these substances are required for maintaining neuromuscular homeostasis, their blockage results in parasite death. Ticks and fleas won't bother your dog, and he'll be pleased. Because the treatment is selectively toxic, it might have a distinct effect on each mammal.

Available in 1 month, 3 month or 6 month supplies depending on your dogs weight as follows : 4.4 to 6.0 lbs (56.25 mg) Yellow, 6.1 to 12.0 lbs (112.5 mg) Pink, 12.1 to 25.0 lbs (225 mg) Orange, 25.1 to 50.0 lbs (450 mg) Green, or 50.1 to 100 lbs (900 mg) Blue.
What are the side effects of Credelio Flea & Tick Chewable Tablets for Dogs & Puppies?
Weight loss, higher blood urea nitrogen, increased urination, and diarrhea are the most prevalent adverse effects. Lotilaner is an isoxazoline-based medication. Tremors, incoordination, and seizures have all been reported as adverse effects of this family of drugs. Seizures can happen to dogs that have never had a seizure before.
What special precautions are there?
Keep out of the reach of children. Available only with a prescription from a veterinarian. Safety is unknown in breeding, pregnant, or lactating animals. Do not administer to dogs prone to seizures, as health concerns exist.
