Amoxi-Tabs acts to prevent bacterial infections from growing and spreading. This broad-spectrum, semi-synthetic antibiotic, which contains amoxicillin, can be used on both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. In cats and dogs, it is commonly used to treat skin infections such as dermatitis, as well as respiratory tract infections, cystitis, and gastrointestinal tract infections.

What are the side effects of Amoxi-Tabs (Amoxicillin) for Dogs & Cats?
Amoxicillin is a semi-synthetic penicillin medication that is known to produce allergic reactions in certain animals. If you notice symptoms of an allergic reaction, pursue emergency treatment after administering a steroid and/or epinephrine antidote. Other potential side effects include: Diarrhea Vomiting Upset stomach Typically, GI effects diminish or disappear over time. However, giving this product with food can reduce these side effects. If the symptoms persist, notify a veterinarian.
What special precautions are there?
Only administer to dogs and cats. Do not give to dogs with known allergies to penicillin. Keep out of the reach of animals and children.
What to do if overdose?
If overdose occurs, please contact your local pet hospital or emergency pet clinic immediately.
How can I store Amoxi-Tabs (Amoxicillin) for Dogs & Cats?
Temperatures should be kept between 68 and 77 degrees Fahrenheit (room temperature). Heat and moisture should be avoided.
Overview
This medication should always be used as directed by your veterinarian. The recommended dosage duration is 5 to 7 days, and it should be continued for 48 hours after the symptoms have subsided. If you don't observe improvement after 5 days, consult your veterinarian for a new course of medication. For use in cats, administer 50 mg once daily. For use in dogs, administer 5 mg for every pound of body weight twice daily.
