When an animal is given this drug, fungus or yeast infections are more likely to develop. Consult your veterinarian if you think your pet might have an infection. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach pain are less severe responses. If your pet develops indications of an allergic response (shortness of breath, hives, swollen lips, swollen tongue, swollen face, or rash), fainting, seizures, unusual bleeding, bruises, or severe or bloody diarrhea, contact your veterinarian immediately.

For cats, the usual dose ranges from 5mg to 10mg per pound of body weight. The standard dose for dogs is 5 milligrams per pound of body weight. For a period of 5 to 7 days, this dose should be given two times each day. Before using, this product must be mixed with water. Use according to your veterinarian's instructions.
