Normosol-R Electrolyte Solution is an electrolyte solution that is isotonic, sterile, and nonpyrogenic. In animals who have severe extracellular fluid depletion, it is given intravenously as a parenteral replacement.

Overview
NORMOSOL-R is infused intravenously. Alternatively, it can be given subcutaneously. Infuse a dose that corresponds to the extracellular fluid loss replenishment in each animal. In situations of moderate blood loss, up to 3 times the expected volume of blood loss may be given after or during surgery to correct volume.
