What special precautions are there?
Animals that aren't eating or drinking should be drenched separately. Prior to slaughter, discontinue therapy for the relevant species for at least the number of days specified below: goats and swine - 3 days, sheep - 2 days, cattle - 1 day, turkeys - 0 days. Treatment should be continued for another 24 to 48 hours after illness symptoms have disappeared, but not for more than 14 days in total for goats, sheep, swine, and cattle, and 5 days for turkeys. Because systemic levels of neomycin are not achieved due to limited absorption from the gastrointestinal tract, oral neomycin is not advised as the primary therapy if symptoms such as going off feed, depression, or fever occur. Consult a veterinarian if symptoms persist after 2 or 3 days of administering the medication. To provide the prescribed dosage, the neomycin concentration in medicated water must be adjusted to account for ambient humidity and temperature, the severity and form of illness indications, and variations in the weight and age of the animal, all of which influence water intake. The product is not intended for human consumption. Animals and children should not be exposed to Neo-Sol 50.
What to do if overdose?
Contact the closest emergency animal clinic.
How can I store Neo-Sol 50 (Neomycin Sulfate Soluble Powder), Antibacterial?
This product should be stored between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius (68 and 77 degrees Fahrenheit). 15-to-40-degree Celsius (59-to-104-degree Fahrenheit) excursions are permitted.
