This broad-spectrum antibiotic is active against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. It is a quinolone carboxylic acid derivative-class synthetic chemotherapeutic drug. It is processed in the digestive tract after being ingested. This form of absorption causes all bodily tissues and fluids to be penetrated.

What are the side effects of Zobuxa (Enrofloxacin) Flavored Tablet?
Dogs given 52 mg per kg daily for a 13-week period only exhibited isolated cases of inappetence and vomiting. This product is not recommended for administration to animals with existing hypersensitivity to quinolones. Do not give over 5 mg per kg daily to cats. In rare cases, retinal toxicity has occurred in cats as a result of this medication.
What special precautions are there?
Use only in animals. In animals with disorders of the central nervous system, this product may induce seizures. Give with caution if the animal has problems with the central nervous system. In juvenile animals, this type of medication has been linked to cartilage degradation. When administering to cats, use extreme caution. Cats' eyes have been known to respond negatively to this product. When it comes to breeding and pregnant cats, use with caution. If skin contact occurs, wash thoroughly with soap and water. If your eyes come into contact with this product, flush for 15 minutes immediately. Keep your hands away from your eyes when handling. Consult a veterinarian if discomfort continues after eye or skin exposure. Keep treated animals out of the sun. It  is known to cause photosensitization in people because of exposure to quinolone. Keep away from animals and children.
What to do if overdose?
If overdose occurs, please contact your local pet hospital or emergency pet clinic immediately.
How can I store Zobuxa (Enrofloxacin) Flavored Tablet?
Store in a cool dry environment 20-25°C (68-77° F). Be sure to keep this product away from any moisture or heat. Brief excursions of 15° to 30°C (59° to 86°F) permitted.
Helpful Tips:
Follow the directions provided with your prescription by your veterinarian. Do not crush the tablet, and dose as prescribed. Off-label administration may be indicated in certain animal species, including small mammals, reptiles, or birds.
Overview
Follow your veterinarian's instructions. Administration & Dosage Orally administer 5 mg/kg (2.27 mg/lb) of body weight to cats. Dogs: Give 5-20 mg/kg (2.27 to 9.07 mg/lb) orally at a rate that provides 5-20 mg/kg (2.27 to 9.07 mg/lb) of body weight. The pathogen's susceptibility, the severity of the condition, and clinical experience should all be considered when choosing a dosage within this range. Clinical symptoms such as vomiting, depression, and inappetence should be closely watched in animals given dosages at the upper end of the dosing range. For cats and dogs, the dose can be given as a single daily dose or split into two (2) equal daily doses given at twelve (12) hour intervals. The dose should be continued for at least 2-3 days after the clinical signs have stopped, up to 30 days.
